IT’S the news all TAKE THAT fans have been waiting to hear – there will definitely be another album. Over a million lucky folk have been sent home singing, smiling and celebrating the man band’s amazing Circus tour over the past month. And every single one will be punching the air to hear the TT juggernaut will roll on after the curtain comes down at Wembley tomorrow night. MARK OWEN, JASON ORANGE, HOWARD DONALD and GARY BARLOW have already made a start on their sixth album during the tour. And if history repeats itself, you can bet your boots there will be another jaw-dropping tour in 2011. Read More? |
| Take That No Angels |
GARY Barlow told organisers not to play any Robbie Williams tunes before collecting Take That’s Silver Clef Award. After hostess Denise Van Outen, 35, muddled up who was presenting the gong, Gary, 38, grinned: “Don’t be playing Angels before I come on.” Posing for a quick snap before dashing to Wembley Stadium for band rehearsals, Gaz said: “The tour is going brilliantly and we will have Lady GaGa back supporting at the weekend. “It’s a shame she was poorly and couldn’t play Manchester.” The singer handed over £50,000 to the Silver Clef charity of choice Nordoff-Robbins from donations made by celebs in exchange for Take That tickets. | Take That receive coveted award |
Pop survivors Take That have won their second coveted Silver Clef award, recognising an 18-year chart career. The former boyband first received the prize in 1995, mere months before Robbie Williams quit. On that occasion, so many fans packed the entrance to the Intercontinental Hotel in London that the group had to be ushered in through a side entrance. They have now eclipsed the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones, who have only received the prize once. The trophy is awarded each year to raise funds for music therapy charity Nordoff-Robins. Gary Barlow announced that he and his bandmates would donate £50,000 to the cause. Read More? |
| Take That 'furious' with Lady GaGa |
Gary Barlow has admitted that he was furious when Lady GaGa pulled out of supporting Take That in Manchester. Barlow claimed that the group were given just one hour's notice that GaGa had decided not to perform and praised Gary Go for filling her boots. "Gary Go got us out of a real spot. You should have heard me backstage," he told The Mirror. According to the publication, GaGa was later spotted drinking in the city's Lowry Hotel bar. Lady GaGa cancelled the support slot after falling ill following her appearance at Glastonbury. She went on to miss a further live date in the city. Source: Digital Spy |
| Welcome! |
Welcome to TakeThatWorld.com, which myself and Dan hope will soon be your ultimate source for everything on Take That. The site is still very much in the early stages of development, but most of the content is now up for you to view and we have more than 1,600 images in the gallery. There is, however, still so much more to get done, and since the careers of Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard span more than a decade, there are obviously thousands more images to come. We wanted to open the site so you can all see what is on offer already, and we hope you all enjoy your stay. Thank you for visiting and please keep checking back for new updates. |
